Advisor Mastery Program (AMP) Workshops

These workshops will focus primarily on advisor skill-building and knowledge-building. Potential topics include:

• Technical/Software/Administrative skills (Excel, TEAMS, ARGOS, reading high school transcripts, etc.)
• Advising approaches and best practices
• Legal/Ethical issues in advising
• Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Workshops will be offered twice a month, and will generally be worth 1 point (unless otherwise stated). Workshops will vary in terms of being offered in-person or via zoom.

An introductory workshop designed to familiarize academic advisors with the core features and functionalities of the Navigate platform. This session is ideal for advisors new to Navigate or those seeking a refresher on how to effectively leverage the system to enhance their advising practices.

Participants will receive a comprehensive overview of Navigate's key components, including appointment scheduling, student profiles, communication tools, and early alert systems. The workshop will provide step-by-step guidance on navigating the platform, customizing its features to meet specific advising needs, and utilizing data insights to track and support student progress.

Through hands-on demonstrations and interactive exercises, advisors will learn how to streamline their workflow, improve student engagement, and proactively address potential challenges before they impact student success. By the end of the session, participants will feel confident in their ability to use Navigate to its full potential, enabling them to better support their students’ academic and personal goals.
