CCM Students - Connect with Employers
The School of Concrete and Construction Management has many opportunities to connect students and employers for part-time work, internship opportunities, and full-time career positions upon graduation. View our Events Calendar to see a current list of events.
To learn more about any of these or to get on the School's Recruiting Newsletter email list, contact Nicole Green at nicole.green@mtsu.edu or call 615-904-8599.
Job Postings
Students who declare Concrete Industry Management or Construction Management as a major are automatically added to an email list to receive notifications of opportunities for current students, upcoming grads, and/or experienced alumni. Students are also encouraged to use the MTSU Career Development Center’s online Handshake system to explore companies and opportunities.
Socials
Socials are company-sponsored meals at which representatives present information about their company, their area of the industry, and opportunities available to students. These are great learning tools, giving students a snapshot of different areas of the industry and different positions available, as well as companies that support our programs. Typically, employers that host a social will conduct interviews for internships or full-time opportunities later in the day or the following day.

Fall Networking Event

Each fall semester, the school hosts the Networking Event. This is essentially our large annual career fair, with a focus on networking and career exploration. All employers, even if not actively hiring for openings; and all students, even if not currently seeking an internship or full-time job, are encouraged to attend. The event is designed to introduce students to the wide variety of employers they might work for after graduation. It is as much about gathering information and contacts as it is finding an opportunity that semester or in the future. Typically the event is at capacity with 100 total employer booths.
Spring Interviewing Day
Each spring, in late February or early March, the school hosts an Interview Day to connect students with internships for the upcoming summer and to start discussions with seniors for upcoming career positions. In the morning, companies reserve a table and will spend several hours in rapid-fire interviews with students seeking summer learning opportunities. This is a quick and easy way for students and recruiters to connect. Interviews are all morning with a lunch for all students and employers to allow for further conversation or interviews later in the day. The afternoon is set up similarly but with slower, scheduled interviews with seniors of all majors.
