Writing Partnerships
NOTE: The last day to request a Writing Partnership for Spring 2017 is Friday, March 10.
Writing Partnerships are tailored to your specific writing goals and allow you to work at the same time each week with the same Writing Center Consultant. Writing Partnerships are ideal for student writers who...
- are writing theses (undergraduate or Master's level) or dissertations
- are working on creative projects such as novels, collections of short stories or poetry, graphic novels/comics, etc.
- are preparing for the GRE, PRAXIS, LSAT, or other tests that include a writing component
- have specific writing goals such as improving or polishing writing style at the sentence level, developing essay writing strategies, or increasing knowledge about writing for a particular academic disclipline
What should I expect from a Writing Parternship?
During your first meeting, you and the consultant you'll be working with will discuss your goals in more detail and look at a sample of your writing. The consultant will then, with your input, create a writing plan that will be used to guide your sessions for the entire semester.
How do Writing Partnerships differ from individual sessions?
By registering for a semester-long Writing Partnership, you will have a standing, weekly appointment reserved for your on our schedule.
