Biography
Prior to joining MTSU, Melissa worked as a licensed real estate agent for Coldwell Banker Commercial, then transitioned to commercial real estate at Dollar General Corporation. The Family Dollar Stores, and Sitel Worldwide. She is a CCIM Designee (Certified Commercial Investment Member).

Dr. Cohen began adjuncting with Bethel University in 2006 (teaching over 40 classes). Once she completed her DBA, she also taught finance and marketing in the University of Pikeville's online MBA program (10 classes total). She previously worked as a personal finance coach for Jean Chatzky's FinanceFixx program.
Melissa currently teaches corporate finance at MTSU. She also volunteers as co-chair of fundraising at her kids' school, raising more than $135,000 in the last 2 years through various fundraising programs.
